What Does The "L" in The A.L.S. Workout Plan Stands For?

My middle name LaMar was given to me by mother (Happy #MothersDay) Lisa Smith, and had me thinking #Location for The A.L.S. Workout Plan.

Everybody wants to feels safe and empower while working out.  Workouts at your town's fitness center is a great place to begin.  You may have to sign up and pay a monthly fee, but at least you know you are safe and surrounded by educated trainers to answer any fitness questions you may have.  The equipment at the fitness centers are in working condition and maintained and cleaned by the staff.  Most gyms have upbeat music to motivate their clients to exercise and try adding something new to their workouts.  Also, what I love most about fitness centers are their clean hand towels they provide to wipe the sweat off your face and equipment after an intense workout.

Money is a big issue that most clients have, so you can solve this issue by exercising at the track.  All tracks have rules and conducts that must be followed by all users.  Check your local track rules and conducts at their website or look for their rules on a sign at the front gate.  Going to your local high school track is usually in a safe environment, because of fences, lights, and hours of operation. Fences shows pride that the town has for its track and wants to keep to the #Location clean and free of trouble makers.  The track also has bright lights to keep the track well lite at night and has water fountains to keep you hydrated on those hot days/nights.  High schools tracks are open to the public between 8 am to 10 pm for the safety of their users.  Having hours of operation is a great thing, because it instills order by establishing rules that must be followed by the users.

The #ALSWorkoutPlan creates a program that makes the client's workouts enjoyable by making sure that the #Location of exercise is safe for all users.  #Location plays a major role in fitness and can be the reason why you are not exercising on a regular basis.

"But wait Alfonso LaMar Smith, what is #SomaticPatterns"?

The "A" in The A.L.S. Workout Plan

I (Alfonso) heard from many clients that my #Age is preventing me from exercising.  So The A.L.S. Workout Plan creates a workout program that caters to you base on your #Age.  So what is your fitness #Age?  Your fitness #Age is calculated by these components heart rate, waist circumference, exercise routine, and more.  Go ahead and do the math ----> #Age .

Since teens and young adults (13-28) have more joint mobility, energy, and time; it is easier for us to perform exercises.  Some ways that I stay active on a low budget is:

  • Running
  • Body weight exercises
  • Volunteering with different sports teams/leagues.

Adult (30-47) have a harder time budgeting money, time, and family events.  The A.L.S. Workout Plan tries to get adults involve in budget friendly exercise activities such as:
  • 30 minute fitness videos
  • Walking around your local track
  • Playing sports with your family

Exercise is very important to older adults (50+), because as we get older we begin to lose bone density and muscle tone.  Some issues that older clients have with exercise is pain associated with exercise and lost of range of motion (ROM).  So as a personal trainer, I recommend workout regiments like:
  • Yoga to improve ROM
  • Water aerobics to take pain/stress away from the body
  • Weightlifting to strengthen muscles and surrounding joints and ligaments

Once again #Age can be a major factor that prevents you from exercising, but The #ALSWorkoutPlan can create a workout that takes in consideration your #Age.  Exercise at any #Age can have you feeling young, energize, and healthy.

"But what about finding a #Location to workout while feeling safe?"

Stay tune to for the next post to learn about #Location and how you can overcome it!!!

The A.L.S. Workout Plan Begins

While working at East Carolina University's Student Rec. Center, interning at Athletic Evolution, and volunteering with many local high schools' strength coaches, I heard 3 things constantly that would stop people from wanting to exercise.  So lets take some time and think about what is stopping you from exercising???

I founded that the 3 biggest problems for not wanting to workout were A.L.S.
LoL not amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or Lou Gehrig's disease, but:
  • Age
  • Location
  • Somatic Patterns (Body Patterns)

So I, Alfonso LaMar Smith have created The A.L.S. Workout Plan to help motivate, educate, and inspire people to reach their fitness goals and achieve wellness.

The A.L.S. Workout Plan motto is "The A.L.S. Workout Plan. A workout program design for any AGE, at any LOCATION, no matter your SOMATIC PATTERNS, because there is a workout plan for you. #ALSWorkPlan."

How dose Age, Location, and Somatic Patterns prevent exercise and what makes The A.L.S. Workout Plan different from the others workout programs?

Stay tune to find out!!!!
